Starting the Common Subjects! Economic Environment Module
Dear students:
we have started today the Economic Environment Module. This course is included in the Bussiness Fundamentals Common Subjects, within the Area of Enviormental Mgt and Energy and will consist of 10 hours.
The course is based on a practical approach. The main topics to be covered are international economics and globalization. The situation of USA, Japan, Europe (including the situation of Greece ) as well as developing countries are the core basis of this course.
Main economic indicators, such as gross domestic product, inflation, unemployment, fiscal deficit and the balance of payments will be studied. Spanish economic problems are included, (housing prices, the future of the pension system, the financial sector ) and the need to change the economic model will be discussed.
Finally , students will present a country report.
