EUROPEAN ENTREPRENEUR IN CHINA

Nowadays, entrepreneurship is in the mind of many people either for managing their own business or for coming out of economic crisis.

That post will be based on doing business in China. It will show some aspects to take in account to invest in this country.

China could seem a country full of opportunities. There is a big difference between the eastern and western of China though. In the east part of the country, the market is already a bit saturated so if you want to find new opportunities you should be focus on the central and western of China, even the way of living there is still very traditional.

There is another point to take in account before setting up a business in China which is the five years plan. That document allows you to know in which fileds the govertment is going to invest in the next five years so that give you an idea of the future market.

In China even simples things are different, for just making a deal you need to meet your partner for a few times until he trusts you. One of the speaker said to us that he needed almost one year to clinch a deal. After that long time his Chinese partner told him:” I already trust you, so let´s do business”. For situations like that you need to study the Chinesse culture before thinking of stablishing a business there and be able to adapt to them. They really appreciate when someone is talking to them in Chinese. Besides, chinese are very changeable so you need to be ready for any quick response as another shown experience.

For launching your business, marketing is as important as in our culture is. For example, colours have different meaning for chinese people, so depending on the color used to wrap a products your sales could dramatically change.

As a conclusion I would say that doing business in China is not an easy assigment but making effort you will get what you were looking for as it is a country which is developing so quick.
