Welcome to EOI

Hello all!

My first post is related to the most tough but definitely most funny day at EOI: the well-known “Outdoor Training”.

I must admit that i was quite curious and expectant since the start of the week about that famous training which was taking place on thursday during the afternoon. What kind of training was waiting for us?! i can say it defies the imagination..

I never experienced one before but i found it such a pertinent way to welcome the students and encourage us to get to know other master students while building team spirit.

As we all know, it consisted on different exhausting activities which were somewhere hidden in different places at school and we had to succesfully get through to aspire to the winning position. I can state that i learned from the very fist moment in which i had to meet with my “unknown” training mates that having a funny and energic disposition from the beginning can guarantee the group a positive way of facing the activities and cooperation among the members.

Some situations were really challenging but my qualified mates and my sometimes “bird-brain” leader :p were always encouraging the others to have a good laugh. We were finally not the winners but the important thing is that we really enjoyed as well as built a nice atmosphere among the team members, we learnt how to respect each other opinions, how important communication and trust are  to get through the activities after maybe 40 minutes feeling frustration, desperation, tiredness, abandon… but always laugh.

This outdoor training motivated me even more with the start of IMSD, i feel really excited imagining what this master will bring us during the year..
