My First Week at EOI
I am so glad to be given a chance to express myself on how i am settling at EOI. For the first time in my life i have gone out of Africa and the place to be happens to be EOI in Madrid. I was questioning myself, is it worthy it, but just being here for a week i have noticed that my stay here will add alot of value to me and Africa as a whole. In our continent we have a saying “You teach one lady, you teach a nation.” I happen to be that lady and the school being EOI.
I have seen that there is a lot of interraction between the students and the lectures, this will help me to know more about other countries, for example in the classes most of the discussions are about our countries. I beleive that the practical examples about our countries will give me a better picture of some countries like Costa lica, Venezula, Malasia just to mention a few.
In addition, i feel that my skills and knowledge in technology will greatly improve since we are not very good at this in Africa. I knew very litte about the blogs, and i have already tried one within a two weeks, thats powerfull knowledge, I am glad i chose this school. .
On thursday, i was overwhelmed with the interraction we had during the ”In door classes” thanks for the guys in my group, you did a lot of translation, but mind you in a months time, you will not have that job again because i am learning atleast five words a day. I know staying here at EOI for a year, i wil gain a lot, one of it being the langauge and thats spanish, a plus to an African woman.
However, i need to ask for one favour from the lecture, pleases try to speak slowly when speaking spanish in the lectures. A mix is very good but i need to learn slowly until am there.
