Arthur Lyon Dahl in EOI Business School: 'Global warming is just one symptom of the fundamental imbalances in our world'

EOI BusinessSchool welcomed two experts in Sustainability and Development on Friday, February 22. Arthur Lyon Dahl and Augusto López Claros shared their perspectives after 20 years of work in the United Nations Environment Program, the International Monetary Fund and the World Economic Forum. They approached the need for sustainability both in business and political management.

 

Some of the conclusions they drew pointed out the need for fundamental changes in economic and social systems and governance, in a world where global warming is “just one symptom of fundamental imbalances”. They stressed the importance of values and ethics in social and economic transformation and the role of business in convincing governments “to strengthen global governance for sustainability”.
