Let’s connect through tribes
If you ask yourself “What can I do to change the world?” probably your mind will go blank or you’ll answer immediately “Nothing. It doesn’t depend on me”. However, I watched a video where Seth Godin teaches us that there are human social units called tribes which can change the world and anyone of us can be part of them.
Tribes are about leading and connecting people and ideas. They have always existed. Being part of a tribe makes you feel connected with the rest of the members who share their ideas with you and with whom you can share yours.
And why tribes can change the world?
- We are in a key moment of a change in the way ideas are created and spread due to the internet and the explosion of mass media which allows tribes to be everywhere and connect with them without limits or restrictions.
- Tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big changes and everybody love to be part of them because no one forces you to do anything you don’t want to, you only do it to be connected.
That’s why great leaders succeed. They don’t invent their followers, they just connect people around the same idea establishing the need of changes because they challenge the status quo and they commit to the cause and to the people of the tribe they lead.
