tablets have arrived!!!
How exited have we all been to finally get our tablets… how many discussions did we have how the tablet would change our little world and how much more efficient we could be finally connected to the outside world. Reading, writing, doing, blogging, tweeting, social networking and all on the go! I was amazed by all the opportunities and possibilities, so for me was clear I needed one, urgently, now…
The big day arrived last Tuesday and we are one gadget richer. The first hours no one wanted to leave it out of their hands as it might disappear while doing other things.
After the first euphory I just got to think that maybe the tablet wouldn’t change that much if I wouldn’t change my habits and myself. How would I handle all this?
I realized how much pressure and power we were given into our hands. – 24h connection and always availability – No excuses anymore why I can’t do this or why I haven’t received that email. Hundreds of useful or less useful Apps to be discovered. What a mad world!
I’m still not sure how to manage that power and I haven’t discovered its full potential yet, but I’m sure that it is going to be a great help during my Master degree and my further professional life. I already adopted the tablet as my only child and would like to take it everywhere even into the shower to be connected if I wouldn’t be afraid to destroy it. 
Give me a few more weeks and I might hold the full power in my hands or I might develop a love-hate-relationship, who knows?
